A Few More Awesome Finds

Betti, by Kate Louise, has the sweetest handcrafted headbands and crocheted beanies and scarves. We loved this cream satin lace headband so much I asked her to make an assortment of similar headbands. They were all terrific, and arrived much faster than I expected.

I'm not usually a fan of coffee cup cozies, but I picked up this one for the monkey-lover in the family. It's so cute and well made that I'm thinking of getting a few more to use for "just because" gifts. Really, can you look at that face without smiling? Click over to Maceme and have a look around, there's always something new and different to discover!

Far superior to the old pet rocks (anybody else remember those?), this rock has a dragon figure carved into it. This piece is so terrific I'm thinking about getting more rocks, maybe Mr. LuckyGirl will get a custom rock to celebrate our anniversary (ssshhhhh!). Check out sjEngraving, especially the custom nest section.

One of Those Things You Didn't Know You Needed Until You Had One

Now that my family has opened all of their gifts I can share a couple of the cutest things I found for them. Does anyone really need a holder to carry around their lip balm? I didn't think so, but once I saw how much fun these are I think I may need a couple of them for myself!

We have a 13-year-old penguin lover, and this penguin lip balm holder was a perfect stocking stuffer for her! I got lucky and found a monkey lip balm holder for our 24-year-old monkey fan. These also work as holders for lighters and USB drives, and have key chains attached. Get yours from Mindy's Embroidery, where you'll find a huge selection of really cute embroidered things.

Monkey Love

This is not really a photo of my new grandson. Well, yes, it is him in the picture, but he's not the reason I posted it. I got the darling monkey lovie next to him from The Monkey Shop--and Gabriel loves it. It's soft and cuddly, the blanket part is perfect for his tiny fingers to grasp, and the bright smiling face fascinates him. Dulce, the talent behind The Monkey Shop, has been crafting since she was four. It's obvious she makes each of her monkeys with love!
