Mother's Day 20% Off Sale

I'm planning to visit my mom this Mother's Day. Not original, but we'll both enjoy it. I'd love to hear about anything special you have planned for Mother's Day this year--especially if it includes a gift from Lucky Girl Trading on Etsy! I'll be putting my shops on vacation late next week, but through Sunday, May 1 you can save 20% off your entire order with the code "MOM20". I've got more than 800 unique items available, so you're sure to find something she'll love!

Vintage Pyrex Teapot with Tea Ball Infuser

I'm getting ready for another visit with my family, and thought I should unpack some of the treasures I brought home from my last visit before I go. I had completely forgotten about this old Pyrex teapot I found in my mom's basement! It was my great-grandmother's, and I haven't been able to find another one like it. I did find an image from a Pyrex brochure printed in 1931 that shows this style, but with a glass top. I believe the pot is style 16, a 6-cup teapot, but I haven't been able to find any information on the metal top with infuser. The top fits this pot perfectly, so I think it must have been made for this pot, and not a generic top. I'm hoping that some of you Pyrex lovers can help me with its history and value, maybe the top was part of a special promotion?

Soap Dishes are Good Clean Fun

I've been making a lot of soap dishes lately. They're fun to design, pretty to look at, and they're functional--a win all the way around!

I've partnered with Robyn's Nest Boutique for a bit of promotion, and now each of my soap dishes come with a sample of Robyn's wonderful soap.

Robyn's Fleur de Lis soap would look beautiful in this lavender soap dish. A licensed esthetician, Robyn also creates lip balms and other bath and body products.
This soap dish with the bubbles inside is a really fun way to decorate your powder room. Want a different color? Just ask!

Charlotte, NC

I'm sorry I've been silent for so long, but things have been going at a constant whoooooooooosh for months now! You may remember that Mr. LuckyGirl got a job in Charlotte, about a 3-hour drive from our home. That contract job turned into a permanent job, so we found an apartment in Charlotte and moved just in time to get the kids started in school here. Then the search was on for a place for my glass studio, and another round of packing, moving, and unpacking. We're just finishing up getting our house ready to rent out (know anyone looking for a house in Durham with a terrific studio space?), and still trying to organize the new studio.

I've been trying out some new things with glass, and Mr. LuckyGirl has been creating new metal designs. I'll have more to show soon--I promise!--but in the meantime here's a soap dish that I can't stop looking at.
