Lucky Me, I Won More Giveaways!

I won this marvelous Jasmine Vanilla Solid Sugar Scrub from Dancing Mooney. I had been doing a bit of blog-hopping, landed at Mooney's Musings, and discovered that she was looking for suggestions for new scents. I suggested one of my all-time favorite combinations, jasmine and vanilla, and now everyone can enjoy luxuriously scented, fabulously feeling skin!

I also won this lovely set of birthday cards from BeeDazzles Gifts! They're exactly what I needed to have on hand for those birthdays that sneak up when I'm not paying attention. Check out Bee's Buzzings to keep up with new designs and new giveaways!

There's a Cow in My Mailbox

Actually, by the time you read this, the cow will have left my mailbox and be on her way to someone else's mailbox. I found this darling greeting card at The Hanging Flower Photography and just had to get one! Hanging Flower is a fairly new shop on Etsy, and I was thrilled to get my cards lightning-fast and in perfect condition. And they are just so darn cute!

I Won a Pair of Eyes!

After spending too many hours surrounded by mourning and too many days on the road, I was delighted to come home and find a package from Estonia waiting in my mailbox. There were two original oil ACEOs in the envelope, my prize from a giveaway I found at Heather Knitz. It was a standard giveaway, I had to check out the 5erg shop on etsy and comment about my favorite item there. I love Silja's art so much I had to shop! I can't show you what I purchased because they're gifts and I don't want to ruin the surprise, but I will say that her mixed media metallic greeting cards are amazing. I can't imagine not wanting to frame these! If you've got a minute, check out the 5erg blog. It's always interesting!

I Love Little People

When I was about 8 years old, my younger sister got a bunch of Fisher Price Little People. I wanted a set of my own, but by then I was way too old for preschool level toys. I satisfied myself by playing with my sister's people when she wasn't around and complaining that she always got all the "good" toys.

As I grew older I continued to complain, not because I was jealous, but because it was fun to tease my parents. At some point during my late twenties my mom gave me a pack of Little People. These were not the original style, but the new updated models, and they just weren't the same. Not to mention the fact that my fingers were no longer small enough to fit inside and wear them as tiny puppets.

I am so excited about finding the Play Family House shop! There are photos of Little People scenes on greeting cards, photo prints, and framed "portraits"--and they all make me smile! I think I'll send one to my mom just because I can; after all, she was too old to have her own set to play with, too.

I Was Meant to Love You

Someday I'd love to have a huge collection of art. For now I satisfy myself with searching out new artists, and an occasional splurge on an art-print greeting card. This print by Valérie Parizeault of Witty Workshop is one of my new favorites.

I may splurge on one of her greeting cards. She has a unique way of saying "I love you," that stays with you long after the card has been opened.

Make sure you check out her blog for her monthly giveaways!

Kitschy with a Mexican Twist

The Creative Sundries shop on Etsy is packed with items you didn't know you needed until you saw them. Come on, who can pass up a five-pack of pink sugar skull glycerin soaps? Or a 1.5-inch-tall hand-felted purse? But my favorite things there are made with Mexican Loteria cards.

This parrot tile is lovely.

The El Sol pendant is very cool.

El Musico is one of the most romance-invoking Valentine's cards I've seen this year.
