They looked at two (ok, very unscientific) women.

One considered herself to be unlucky, always expecting the worse, always fretting over things that very often were out of her control.

The other woman, considered herself lucky. Very positive, looked always on the positive side of things.

The "lucky" woman was much further along in her life. And, not too many bad things happened to her.

They even performed certain "experiments" on them (forgive me, it's been a few years since I saw this, so I can't remember exactly what they were) and as I said, the positive/lucky woman passed with flying colors.

What I took away from that was that a whether you consider yourself lucky or not, more importantly a positive attitude does have a positive effect on your life.

;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2495240464765510463.post-34144481901989768972008-07-25T15:58:00.000-04:002008-07-25T15:58:00.000-04:00Very cool post and oh so true. Seems you have to consciously think about being positive.Waterrosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07422788758188500128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2495240464765510463.post-3233436430504936832008-07-25T15:04:00.000-04:002008-07-25T15:04:00.000-04:00I love your stuff, and I'm not sure I've commented...I love your stuff, and I'm not sure I've commented before, but this post just made me come over. I've been trying to practice using more positive intentions in several areas of my life, but for some reason it never occurred to me to use them where my writing is concerned. Thanks for reminding me how lucky I really am!Amihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04132594195395924087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2495240464765510463.post-22365434225584679252008-07-25T14:12:00.000-04:002008-07-25T14:12:00.000-04:00Hey Lucky Girl,Thanks for the mention and for spre...Hey Lucky Girl,

Thanks for the mention and for spreading the luck.
